FIELD MAINTENANCE

SVBSA - CLOSING FIELDS
1 - When removing the tarps before practice, pull them off to the side outside of the fence.  Do not put in the shed.
2 - If the tarps have a lot of water on them, you will need two to three people to remove them.  If not,
water will flood home plate area and might not get a game in.
3 - At the end of the night rake all sliding pits, pull the bases and replace the plugs, cover home plate
and pitching areas with the tarp. The pitching tarp should start 30 feet from home plate then go back
towards second base and needs to be inline with the plate and second base.
4 - If field is dry - you can use the coco mat, if field is wet - use rakes to fix cleat marks. You can also use the carts in the garage. This means the whole field and not just base lines and around the bases.
5 - Keep the shed neat. Remember where you got a tool and put it back. Also remember to make sure
the door is shut tight and locks before you leave.
